Todd Phillips‘ The Hangover Part II, has had its share of bed-spins already and here they go adding another…First, Mel Gibson was cut from an intended cameo due to crew complaints and replaced with Liam Neeson. Now Variety reports that Neeson has been cut as well.
Calling it ‘time-crunch’ casting Phillips claims Nick Cassavetes “has been re-cast in the role originally envisioned for Mel Gibson.” Apparently Neeson wasn’t available for some re-shoots because he was already off working on the Clash of the Titans sequel. They needed another actor immediately and Cassavetes stepped in.
Nick Cassavetes (son of John Cassavetes and Gina Rowlands) has directed such films as My Sister’s Keeper, Alpha Dog, The Notebook, and John Q, has also appeared in Face/Off and most recently, Entourage. Check out the trailer for part two if you haven’t already.
