Passing the Torch
Carry the Flame in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay

Teenagers across Canada have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Patricia Moreno, an 18-year-old from British Columbia. Moreno was selected by Coca-Cola to be a Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torchbearer, after joining Sogo Active, a national youth physical activity program in collaboration with ParticipACTION.

“This is going to be such a cool experience. Being fit and healthy is an important part of who I am,” said Moreno. “With all my friends and family—and even all of Canada—watching, it will be one of the most amazing and proud moments of my life.”

Canadian youth aged 13-19 can join Sogo Active by going to www.sogoactive.com and become eligible to be chosen as one of over 1,000 torchbearers selected by Coca-Cola Canada through this program to carry the flame in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.

Sogo Active’s youth-friendly social media model is a national, online network connecting teens with their peers and community organizations to provide a framework to: set activity goals, share challenges, develop leadership skills, celebrate successes, and use their own ideas to embark on a lifetime of active, healthy living.
